Alphanex uses exclusively strictly necessary technical cookies for the operation of the service. We do not use profiling, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Your consent is not required for the cookies we use.

1 What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit them. They are read back by the browser on each subsequent visit and serve to make the site "remember" some information about the user or session.

In addition to actual cookies, there are similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage of the browser, which allow information to be saved locally without sending it to the server on every request. Alphanex also uses these technologies to improve interface performance.

2 Types of cookies used

Cookies are classified based on:

Alphanex uses only necessary first-party technical cookies and third-party technical cookies limited to the payment process (Paddle).

3 Detailed list of cookies

Name Type Purpose Duration First/Third party
session_token Technical Keeps the user authenticated between pages. Without this cookie it is not possible to remain logged into the platform. 30 days (or until manual logout) First party

In addition to cookies, we use the following local storage technologies in the browser:

Key Storage type Purpose Duration
alphanex_theme localStorage Saves the user's theme preference (dark/light) Permanent (until manual deletion)
alphanex_layout localStorage Saves the platform layout preferences (panel sizes, visible columns) Permanent (until manual deletion)
alphanex_chart_settings localStorage Saves the user's chart settings (preferred timeframe, active indicators) Permanent (until manual deletion)
Temporary session data sessionStorage Temporary interface state during the session (e.g. active filters, scroll position) End of browser session

Data in localStorage remains exclusively in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers. It only serves to improve your user experience by avoiding having to reconfigure preferences at each access.

4 Third-party cookies

The third parties that may set cookies on your device through Alphanex are the following:

Provider Purpose Type Notice
Paddle.com Market Ltd Checkout management, subscription verification, payment fraud prevention. Active only when you open the purchase window or subscription management. Technical / payment necessary Paddle Privacy Policy
Tawk.to Inc. Live support chat on the homepage. Tawk.to sets technical cookies to maintain the chat session and collects technical data (IP, pages visited, session duration) necessary for the operation of the support service. Active only on the alphanex.io main page. Technical / customer support Tawk.to Privacy Policy

Paddle acts as Merchant of Record: it autonomously manages payment data in compliance with GDPR and its own security standards (PCI DSS). We do not have access to credit card or bank data entered into the Paddle checkout.

Tawk.to acts as data processor for support chat data. Conversations may be retained by Tawk.to according to its own Privacy Policy. You can contact support anonymously without providing personal data.

5 Cookies not used

We explicitly confirm that Alphanex does not use:

The third-party cookies present (Paddle for payments, Tawk.to for support) are exclusively technical in nature and strictly necessary for the functions indicated in section 4. They are not used for advertising profiling.

6 Cookie management and disabling

You can manage, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Below are the instructions for the most common browsers:

To delete localStorage and sessionStorage of the browser, you can use the Developer Tools of the browser (F12 › Application › Storage) or clear browsing data including "Site data".

7 Impact of disabling

Disabling the session_token cookie prevents the maintenance of the access session. You will have to re-enter credentials at each visit and you will not be able to use platform features that require authentication.

Deleting localStorage results in the loss of saved preferences (theme, layout, chart settings), which will return to default values. No backtest or strategy data is lost, as these are saved on the server.

Blocking Paddle cookies prevents the operation of the checkout for purchase or management of subscriptions.

8 Legal basis

Technical cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the service do not require user consent under applicable regulations (Swiss Federal Telecommunications Act — FTA, and EU ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC as interpreted by supervisory authorities).

We do not install cookie consent banners because we do not use cookies that require them. If we were to introduce unnecessary cookies in the future, we will update this policy and implement an appropriate consent system before their use.

9 Changes to Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the cookies used or applicable regulations. The date of the last update is indicated at the top of the document. For substantial changes that introduce new unnecessary cookies, we will inform you by email or notice on the platform before their activation.
